Want to Host a TSCNA?
Suggestions for Creating a Bid Package
1) You should form a committee consisting of NA members from the city, area, region, geographical localites and or from NA members around the State of
Texas who have the willingness to support the TSCNA in the Bid Package. The committee must take into consideration local NA groups to provide
adequate emotional and financial support to reasonably assure success of the convention. Please read the TSCNA "Mission Statement" in the TSCNA Policy
concerning "Unity and Diversity" and the purpose of the Convention before you begin your bid package.
2) The committee may contact the TSCNA Advisory Board if they need some assistance or have any questions on a Bid Package or a Token Bid of intent.
3) The committee must follow the Bidding listed below.
4) The committee should meet the clean time requirements.
5) The committee must decide if are submitting a Bid Package for the following year convention or if they are going to submit a Token Bid
of intent because they are tentatively planning hosting a future TSCNA. The Bid Packages must be presented to the TSCNA Advisory Board for final
approval. Following are some examples of what you could do for a bid package:
b) Another idea would be to check on local transportation to and from the convention site: shuttle or limousine service, taxi, and/or city bus routes.
c) You may contact local community leaders (Mayor, Chamber of Commerce, civic associations, etc) and ask for letters of support.
d) You may submit with your bid package a letter from NA members in the locality detailing why the City/Area should be selected or considered to host the Convention.
Thank you for considering a Bid Package for the TSCNA and taking time to read these suggestions.
In Loving Service,
Texas State Convention Advisory Board
